Ganesha's Super Weekend!

We went to the TarTan Gordon Setter Agility Trial in Amherst, NH on Super Bowl weekend. Ganesha had an ambitious wish list for the weekend. He didn't get to bang the teeter in the percussion section of Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band in the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and he didn't return an interception for a touchdown...but he did earn Three Agility Titles during the weekend!

He earned his MXJ on Saturday 1/31, and Sunday2/1 earned his Open FAST title with 75 points in 29 seconds; and then his elusive AX title. Then he topped it off with a nice 5.5 yps jww run 14 seconds under sct later Sunday afternoon.

And Satchi QQ'd both days!

Ganesha JWW Jan 17, 2009

We went to a very nice trial in University Park, PA. Great site, club, judge, and friends! This was his first time running on packed sawdust which was deep in some spots.

Running A-Frame: a work in progress

Working on the Running A-Frame for Ganesha...sometimes I worry that we are past the point of no return for developing a solid 2o2o. We chose the running contact, so I'll stick to it for at least a while. Ganesha is only 22 months old at the time of this video excerpt from a standard run at the DCKC trial in Aston, PA on March 1, 2008. Training the running contact is difficult with only acces to equipment once or twice a week until we can get outdoors again. And the indoor equipment is not full size which is probably confusing to him when going through the contact zone on full size equipment at a trial.
